I support and believe women. I am a porn industry worker, performer and production assistant for small and big companies. This culture of violence against women in Entertainment industries both vanilla and XXX must stop. I hope this petition and Miss Rose McGowan's efforts not only help people in Hollywood but my porn sisters too.

Time to change these companies that support a boys club hollywood where sexual predators and rich bullies are protected instead of young creative women trying to work.

To direct these women into so much darkness seems hard to fathom; to humiliate and abuse is inexcusable- so terribly sad

Although, I will never know the scope of the abuse of women, I know in our society it easier for a man to stand for himself in difficult situations than it is for women. I am not saying women can’t defend themselves, but they are left in situations in which extricating themselves is a much more precarious position. This problem is twofold: First, it is not as easy for a woman to drop a job and go somewhere else because their choices are not as varied as a man’s choices in the job market. This leads to staying in a bad situation, such as groping or even threats of physical assault with the hopes of being able to work around, or mitigate the behavior for the time being till they can work out of it. This is especially true if there are children at home depending on the women’s ability to work. Second, if something does go wrong an assault, unsavory demands, etc. they are in the position of defending themselves because of the act of reporting the behavior. This assault after the fact can be as minor as people saying things like: Why are you rocking the boat, or You know boys will be boys! It can also be as bad as: The integrity of the victim being questioned such as: She dresses provocatively, or she brought this own herself! It can also take the form of open threats like: You will not be able to get another job in this town if you report this to anyone, or you should have reported this before it got to this point. I am not saying men cannot be put into compromising positions, but fighting for themselves is more excepted. The next person hiring a man may say: I like his fighting spirt, but with a woman, especially with another male boss, they may feel like it is a risk to hire someone with a history of reporting coworkers. Maybe he has no history or intentions of this behavior, but why put themselves at risk of a report. I am glad I am not in that position as a male, but it breaks my heart to think anyone, especially possibly someone I love may be subjected to such
