We are petitioning the City of Perth to Call for the dismisal of the CEO Gary Stevenson, for what we believe is illegal activity regarding the removal of Aboriginal people and personal belongs from Herrison Island / Matagarup Island.
Matagarup is Aboriginal Heritage listed site and he was supplied with the relevant government documentation and refused to acknowledge or accept it's legal standing.
Plus he ignored complaints about rubbish bins not being emptied and the lights in the female toilets a serious safety issue for women needing to use them when it's dark. Turning off the drinking water supply to the Island is vindictive and another human rights breach.
We also demand the City of Pert immediately rectify these serious
breach's and that they do their job properly and treat people with dignity and respect.

Totally disrespectful and ignorant behaviour from a public official who should not hold the position of CEO of City of Perth. The wrongs he has wrought on the people at Matagarup need to be redressed immediately to prevent further harm.
Stop the illegal move on notices & police brutality at matagarup. Under they heritage act, this is a site that under white fella law says Aborignal people can use it as they please. Under black fella lore, all of Australia is sovereign land, we are all guests here & should respect that! The police are here to protect all citizens, not just white people & not to be used by the city of Perths dirty grubby CEO as his own personal illegal brutal & despicable private security company ! Sack city of Perth CEO NOW!

I am ashamed and appalled what has occurred at Herrison Island/Matagarup at the direction of Gary Stevenson, and where on earth is our Mayor Lisa Scaffidi amidst this disgraceful discrimination and abuse. I certainly expected her to be watching the backs of other women and elders and those less fortunate. Shame!
