6th and 5th grade baseball teams should not be spoken to like adults. Randy Davis has been mean to the kids as he has coached the season so far to the extent of using profanity towards the kids about a past game on 4-21-12. He also states that if your kid can not hit the ball that they will not bat more than one time in a game, and that if your kid can not play baseball as good as he wants them to that they will not play more than 2 innings (stated on 3-31-12). The only reason he lets them play that much is because it's a rule for that age group and if he doesn't play them that much then he looses the game automatically. Let's keep in mind that these kids are in the age range of 10-12 yrs and some of them it is there first season ever playing baseball. Kids will not get better without a coach to actually coach them. Randy also stated that he was not responsible to how good/bad the kids were at baseball; that it was the parents job to "coach" and practice with them. Randy also stated that it is not his job to "coach" the kids that he paid someone to coach his kids  . If we didn't like it that we could take our kid off the team. He said that his goal was to win and he didn't care who it makes mad of who plays and doesn't play (stated on 4-2-12). This age group does not try-out for the team. At this age group all kids pay the same amount as the other kids on the team and deserve the same amount of coaching. This is not middle-school or high-school! I am asking that Randy Davis be removed from his "coaching" position at Boonville School this year.
