Disgusting they are not being allowed to stay and The Scottish Gov can't stop it happening as immigration isn't nor likely to be devolved that's why Scotland needs Independence from the nasty Westminster Gov.

This disgraceful treatment at the hands of faceless bureaucracy. This family have contributed greatly to their local community. They and others like them should be welcomed and encouraged.

My family briefly met this family in 2014 while on holiday near Laggan, They were obviously working hard to make a living in an area that many forget about. I am afraid this feels like just another example of the Home Office trying to meet its immigration targets by finding any excuse. Shame on them. I hope the family manages to work something out before deportation, but I suspect current public policy is so unwelcoming that it is a lost cause. I wish the Zielsdorf family well for the future.

I do hope these people get to stay, they have set up a business and by the looks of it are doing a great job. I don't know this family but wish they get their wish granted to stay

Family making a positive contribution to Scotland. Where is the wisdom or humanity in the Home Office. We need our own government making these decisions. One size does not fit all.

Deportation of this family is yet another example of Westminster brutality and callousness applied to Scotland, where it is not welcome and has no place.

Leave this family .. allow them the credentials they need to stay in the highlands . They provide a life line to the surrounding people. To through them out after yous cancel their visa is disgusting and ontop of that not allow them to sell their own hard worked for store/business .. is disgusting .

Would like to see this family stay in the Highlands. If some of the children were born here, won't the families expulsion be traumatic for them? Seems a pity.

Unbelievably shocking treatment of a much-needed family and business. People - and common decency - should come before bureaucracy.

If a family have invested over £200k of their own money into our economy we should be encouraging them not asking them to leave

This is just awful, ludicrous, painfully frustrating. Of course they should be allowed to stay. I'm sure the overwhelming majority of Scots want them to stay. Yet here we have another horrible UK gov policy that wrecks lives and harms our communities. It's a disgrace.

And now their family business has closed and it is a loss to a remote rural village and its community.
