I'm angry at those heartless, mean, self-congratulatory government immigration jobsworths - maybe we could swap them for some refugees, the country would find they worked harder, had more respect, and better deserved the name "citizen".

Despicable actions by a reckless Home Office who do not understand the geography or population issues in this area of the Highlands. Children born in Scotland are Scottish. The couple have invested heavily in the economy of the local area and provide a vital service.

Apart from the fact that some of the children are Scottish citizens, small Highland communities like Laggan are actually crying out for families to come and live there. This country doesn't (only) have a housing shortage it has an infrastructure problem. If investment was made in roads, rail and plane travel from/to the highlands to encourage businesses to set up there and people/families to relocate it would go a long way to helping with this issue. This family have made a huge contribution to the local economy and have presumably integrated well with the community having children at the primary school. (Small schools in these communities are at serious risk from closure due to the small number of children/families in the areas), and having built up a successful business and are now being asked to leave due to red tape and bureaucracy because of our countries current foreign policies and because the gov wants to be seen to be taking a hard line on immigration. It's not just this family that will suffer if they leave.

I would say that is a decision for Scotland to make NOT westminster! Also it smacks of harassment.
