This highlights the essence of grass roots re-establishment of rural communities.....they need services and people. To have folk willing to invest time, money and emotion should be criteria enough to give a extraordinary extension to their visa. I am sure in time a second member of staff will be added, but even without this, the presence of this family is undoubtedly a benefit to this remote area.
Otherwise we are looking at continuing Highland clearances. Good old 'elite' at it again....Scottish HIghlands a playground for them, whilst ordinary hard working people are forced out.

Disgracefull behaviour by a Tory government who day by day are turning into the new Nazi party through their policies and even their quotes straight out of Main Kampf. This is just one of the examples, persecute the poor, sick and disabled, deport anyone who is non-British, absolutely horrendous.

This family have not only built up a business but have contributed to the local economy by doing so. They have provided a much needed service to the community. It's truly a scandal their case cannot be dealt with in an individual and humane manner. The visa circumstances may not be ideal but surely we can apply compassion and common sense to its interpretation.

One size fits all regulations don't serve a country with diverse needs. Joined-up thinking makes it obvious that small businesses in sparsely populated areas are to be nurtured, not undermined. Home Office needs to talk to HMRC and DWP about where tax comes from (and goes...).

Should be a matter for Scotgov and local community only. Shame on the Home Office. Let them stay and continue to keep their shop and business where they employ someone as well.
