This is not how I want my country. I want to be welcoming and sharing. To appreciate others and bring them into our community. We need them as much as they need us. I.am disgusted by this Little England mentality being forced on us.

Absolutely appalling when they are working hard to enrich a community. They have chosen to make Scotland their home and to invest financially in that. Surely there should be a degree of flexibility.

Small, rural communities in the Highland are very fragile. This hard working family is a positive benefit to the area. They must not be deported. They must be allowed to stay.

Inflexible visa rules are a sign of weak and unimaginative government. This family is a boon to their community and it would be destructive and vindictive for the home office to deport them. The home office's stance is indicative of a disconnect between Westminster and Scotland. Time for independence, methinks. (Written by a lifelong Londer)

Absolute disgrace. This family should be applauded not hounded by a ridiculously flawed system which obviously lacks a modicum of common sense

These people should be allowed to stay, they are not living of the state on handouts, they are working hard and adding to their community and getting involved with the local community they are living in. It's ridiculous you are happy to let the ones stay that walk into this country with their hands out who live off the state and have no intention of making their own living or adding to the country or their community they had moved too, LET THIS FAMILY STAY!!!!

It is a disgrace to consider forcing out this useful, productive family who are making a great contribution to their local community, and who are held in high esteem by their neighbours. These are exactly the people we need in our country.

This family are clearly an asset to their local community and the UK in general, it is a very poorly thought out decision to deport them when it will deprive a village of a decent local business and attractive place for visitors to stop.

Pick on those here illegally and leave those hardworking folk who are trying to make a better life for themselves and others, alone. This government is beyond ridiculous. You wouldn't think they were highly educated. I wonder if they taught fairness and common sense in their private schools.
