Let the Zielsdorf Family Stay !!!!

Surely they can find someone in Government with an ounce of common sense to make the decision to let this couple stay, nut then again maybe not. What an asset to this area.

These people are making a welcome and valuable contribution to their community. Please, please let them stay.

A wecome asset to Scotland and their community. We need more like them. Senseless to deport people like this.

As a regular Scotland visitor I have had the pleasure of visiting/staying in the Laggan area a few times. Great shop, great people, would be a shame and a loss for the community NOT to let them stay.

I remember when this couple came to our rescue one winter a few years ago. We were stuck in snow near Laggan and they came to our rescue in very trying conditions. After the rescue we were invited in to their shop for hot chocolate and we got to know each other more. All I can say to the authorities is they are good people and would only enrich our society so please let them stay and settle in a country they have clearly come to love.

When someone in contributing positively to our economy and society there should be ways for them to stay.

Scotland needs people like them. This family will contribute to our society. Let them stay!

It is utter madness to deport this family when they have worked so hard to enhance a community.

We need more people like this in the Highlands, not less. They add to the economy, to society, and to the tax base.

This is beyond ridiculous, it is cruel! When small children are exploited as beggars on the streets of London and nothing is done to save them, how can anyone even consider deporting this family, which by all accounts are model citizens, apart from the visa snafoo. Britain had better compensate them for their considerable financial losses if it makes them leave.

Unreasonable!

A year and a half ago ago Jason helped my partner and I out of a desperate and dangerous situation and we will always be very grateful - we speak about this adventure which went wrong and often wonder how our rescuers are faring. We were staying overnight in a bothy miles away up the glen from Laggan, when overnight an extremely heavy snowfall which wasnt meant to come for another few days, arrived early and cut us off from help. In minus temperatures, we walked to our car and tried to drive out, but the snow was above the tops of the wheels, the track had long since disappeared; we were in a complete whiteout and were driving blind. We had to abandon the car and start walking for help. As we walked away the car was quickly being buried and panic set in. We suddenly remembered that on our way into the glen two days ago, we had called at the Zielsdorfs shop in Laggan for supplies and the man had given us his business card should we need anything. I thought nothing of it, until now, freezing cold, exhausted and with several miles ahead of us down an isolated glen walking in snow up to our thighs. We walked glued to the bars of signal on our mobiles and as soon as we got a flicker, we rang Jason for help. He immediately sprang into action and came with his huge 4x4 with a rope to help us. He drove into a complete whiteout with no sign of where the road was to help retrieve our car from many miles up the glen. On several occasions the car slid off the road whilst being towed, but Jason relentlessly carried on, never once faltering and saying 'oh this is nothing compared to Canada!'. Several hours later we eventually got back to their shop and they made us hot chocolates to warm us up. We spoke to them for ages and they told us of their possible plight. They appeared decent living citizens and I remember they home schooled all of their children and obviously showed great concern for their wellbeing. It seemed they were offering a great service with their shop in this iso

They have dive so much for the community of Laggan and for all the visitors and tourists who visit laggan

Here is a family doing something for the local area and contributing to the good of the country. Why are they seen as a threat to Britain? Can't the Home Office see beyond the 'rules'? Rules are for the guidance of wise men and for the slavish adherence of fools!

This family are an enormous asset to their local community. The children were born in Scotland. It is obviously wrong to deport them.

Our government is setting the tone in the country (cruelty, lack of compassion, heartlessness etc.......). Rules are stringently applied to 'ordinary people' while the powerful and wealthy are treated with kid gloves. Xenophobia is stoked by politicians and media. I feel ashamed.

The immigration policy is a joke. Why on earth should these people be asked to leave!

This is beyond absurd. Changes in legislation need to be made to accommodate individual cases
