People that are investing in the country and community and you want to throw them away? Yet thousands take and take and you let them stay. Wake up. Let this family stay

This is the sort of family Scotland needs. Hard working and contributing to society in a positive way. Please see sense and get it sorted.

This family is and has been a benefit to their village community. They have a Scottish heritage. They are not a burden on the tax payer or taking up school places. Please reconsider their plight. They are unable to reclaim their investment in Scotland as they have not been able to sell their business. They are definitely not 'spongers'! God bless them.

Pointless and cruel - obviously.

I think you'll find that your complaint should be directed to the UK Home Office, not to Scotland or its devolved administration: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-highlands-islands-39791228

Consider how many Scottish families were able to make their new lives in Canada 150-200 years ago when they had little or no other choice? This family is helping to keep a community alive, when the authorities seem determined to destroy it for ordinary people (probably to the benefit the already wealthy again).

This family are providing a service to their community, improving facilities for the biggest industry in Scotland ie tourism and keeping local school numbers up at a time when rural scholl are being axed, forcing long journeys at the start and end of the day on young children. They are not seeking free accommodation, welfare benefits or other financial support from the state. How many people would take on a small business in such a rural area, investing their savings in an attempt to give their children a good childhood and upbringing. Hang your head in shame Scotland that you are allowing this to happen!

Met Jason on our travels and we were truly touched by his story. Thank you for the bottles of coke and packet of cookies. Good luck and all the best for the future.

Home Office box-ticking. Inhumane. "Rules are for the guidance of wise men and the observance of fools." Don't know who said that but so true.

this is such a travesty - they clearly have earned the right to stay in this country and have actively worked with their local community!

Managing/parenting a large family needs flexibility from those around them to ease the path of care and love.

Many rural areas are being stripped bare of Families due to economic reasons and sending this Family back to Canada is hardly going to help. The Highlands needs new blood, young Families to prosper. This Family are bringing much needed life to this area. Let them stay.

Please allow this family to stay in Scotland. They are a great asset to the community they live in. The business they have built up is a necessary part of the community too.
