This is the very least the school can offer during these difficult times.. Not to mention the struggles of managing the virtual education of two kids at the same time..!

Now is a time to support the community, I see so many heart warming stories about businesses offering discounts giving away food, taking care of staff and passing on discounts to customers in these difficult times, they are the businesses which will have loyalty and support from their customers long after this crisis is over. It’s really disappointing that Sunmarke have not made the decision to do the same . The online learning is fantastic but it’s not the full service.

I applaud Sunmarke for their efforts and need the teachers and administration to be valued and compensated. However the fact is virtual school requires intense supervision for most grades (and definitely for my child) and therefore we should be given at least a 20-30% discount because the virtual school is akin to 25% at most of regular school. In this scenario with reduced operating costs (albeit with salaries left as is) it is only reasonable that any shareholder “profits” be passed back to the parents for this period given my aforementioned statement.

We don’t get the service we paid for, and distance learning puts extra burden on us parents.

We have 4 kids at school. It’s has been a terrible month for us all and we are not at the end of it yet. While sunmarke is getting government discount and is released of some costs, this benefit should be passed on to the parents as well. Not to forget the additional support that is now given by home schooling from the parents’ side

We appreciate all the hard work teachers are doing preparing for the distance learning. They have been amazing, however as parents we are having to implement it. The school facilities are also not being used, such as swimming pool, gym, classrooms etc.
Globally schools have partnered with parents and have offered a discount regardless of weather fees are paid by companies or not!
We would really appreciate this gesture from Sunmarke!

Both our kids have studied starting with Regent and now Sunmarke for decades.
School needs to show solidarity with the parents in the current environment who have paid increases in fees every year without deliberations

I am working for a gov. backed Company. To compensate inevitable financial losses of my employer I am subjected to a pay cut of 50% until July and in addition my work flow is completely stopped which causes me to lose all my extra and bonus payments. On total my income has decreased by %65 - 70% at least. Also our kids ,one way or another will not be having the normal degree, level, quality of education unavoidably unfortunately. I believe everyone , every company and foundation should share the loss for a smoother translation to a new era which seems to be emerging inevitably. This is NOT the day to say “every man for himself”
My best regards

This is a terrible time , our company is also deducting our salaries . We all understand the strain on the economy but with two kids it’s going to be really difficult to survive . A waiver will be a great help .

I strongly agree on 30% discount from term 3 for many reason first kids are not getting the facilities nor activities nor ressources that we paid for, plus e-learning is not as learning in school as a parent I don’t have the teacher skills and the teacher way to implement in my son brain nor my other kids. If I want to keep saying the reasons for discount the list will keep going on and on
