I am a property and business owner in the community. I have had the pleasure of working with Oshay in my business and in the community for 2 years. He is the teacher to the youth in the the community. Guiding them in the right direction about street life, ways to be leaders and not followers. Using sports, economics and self-actualization. Oshay Johnson should be released from parole. He has been there and done that. He is just what the youth in the community needs.

I am vice president of the Strawberry Manor Neighborhood Association. Oshay has been working in the community for the last 2 years. He has been very instrumental in working with the association with the committee in creating activities monthly for the youth in our community. He has been loyal , trustworthy, and wholeheartedly dedicated. At this time, I am asking for Oshay Johnson to be released from Parole, so he can continue the work in the community to support our youth from being incarcerated in their youth or life time. Sincerely Thank you in advance. Phyllis Burden.

Oshay’s commitment and service to our community is a great asset. The parole board should free him of the limitations that being on parole presents so he can take his work in the community even further.

I worked with Oshay with mentoring kids, I have also used his small business for beautification of my home. But most importantly I see the change he has made and I see the positive impact he has made in the community with the youth, and his peers.

mr. Johnson is not a threat to society, but a access to his family, friends and his community. He’s educated and hard working he’s an prime example of what CDCR hopes the others that seems to keep coming back would be.

I would like to express that I merely see Mr. Johnson as a man that had time to reflect on his past decisions, served his time, and has took on many areas as to educate himself in how he can give back to his community while serving his time given. However he has been nothing but a mentor and supper support system for the growing youth since he has been back into our community. The youth looks up to him and admires his time and availability he gives to them. Mr. Johnson has shown he has grown into a good and trusting person of our community, and it would be a delight and pleasure to see him granted a parole discharge. With this saying, he can continue his mission in helping the young youth develop into individuals with positive mind sets and strong self esteem, and continue promoting family engagaement in the communities with his hard work.

Oshay is an outstanding community leader. He is a youth mentor and has implemented several youth programs within his community. He is also highly respected by various established associations. Oshay Johnson is a dad, brother, uncle, grandfather, peace keeper, mentor and friend. He deserves complete freedom with no stipulations.

We had the pleasure of meeting Oshay. We are proud of him and all he has done in the community. What a fine example of character and proof that we are not defined by our circumstances.

O’Shay has paid his debt to society. He served 30 years for the crime he was accused of. He is now serving in his community as a mentor to young people. His message is to keep others from following in his footsteps.
