Objection to premature ‘Building & Maintenance fee 2016-17’ - Chatsworth East

We are trying to remain at Chatsworth East as long as possible. You curtailed that by making an east campus unavailable in future. Please don't push us out even earlier because we can't afford additional fees we can't pay for facilities that are not there. We love Chatsworth. Thank you.

I vehemently object to the proposed fees as my children will not be moving to the new campus, so why should I be funding a campus that my children won't even be setting foot in?!!

I fully agree, charging for fees which will not be used on a campus my child attend and for future campus is very wrong.

I don't agree that we should be paying a fee that is not being fed into the current campus at all. If I knew it was upgrading the current grounds, the very run down bathrooms and resources for current students then I'd be more accepting of it. But we'll likely not be in Singapore and if we are, I'll be sending my kids to the closest school to us - not half way across Singapore. Therefore it's not applicable for us to be paying a fee that doesn't benefit the children now, and will be at a campus we don't use in the future. Not fair at all.

To pay for building and maintenance fee where a decent toilet and bath are not there for kids to use... Yet such a huge amount of fee to be borne by us, parents are not acceptable.

As we are are definitely not moving to the new campus, this should not be applicable for our child.

The fee increase is not substantiated in any way - there are no improvements for our kids scheduled. No new facilities. No renovated sporting areas. There is a school slowly degenerating both in appearances, and physically with lack of resources. There are also a huge amount of students leaving...the general feeling at the school does not have the same positive vibe. And yet we are still being asked to pay more?!!!!!!

I totally agree Tristan's feedback here. East campus will not be there in 2 years, and i am not sure if Orchard campus will be 'upgraded' After Y7 onwards, the child have to go to Bukit Tinggi campus, and the location is really inconvenience to reach by public transport.

Such changes should not be unilateral. There should be clear dialogue between the school and the parents.

I fully disagree the nature of this fee and I consider it abusive and lack of any fundamental. We will be losing the building in 2 years more so my question is " Why we should be paying for somethings is going to be demolish in 2 years?" also What is going to happen with all the families we are going to be affected? are they going to charge a fee to compensate the inconvenience of the Estsiders to bring our kids to the campus at Orchard?

A 10% increase in school fees is unreasonable and excessive. So too is having to pay for a school that children will not benefit from for another 2 years.

If I should help someone to building a school, I would send my money in Africa to the poor kids. I don't want to invest my money for a private school in Singapore.

It's unfair to expect us to pay for building that is two years away
