The council finally folded and we have the official green light to build our legal dirt jump trail. They tried to keep us off the local land but they could not ignore the pressure we put on them. Now the real work of building this facility begins.
Over the last year many local mountain bike riders have been building dirt jumps down the river Ayr. Recently the council received a few complaints so they were forced to flatten them. We met with the councillor and he was very keen to start a legal dirt jump trail in a local area. The council have asked us to take charge of the building of the new trail and they will help us in the actual building of the trail if we take control of the legal side of the new facility. In order for this to happen we need loads of support. This petition will eventually be provided to the council to show the amount of support that has been shown in the idea of building a trail in ayrshire.
The council thinks we will just pack up and go home since they flattened our progress. They are wrong because we are organizing the legal paperwork right now to force them into a real commitment. Watch how quickly they change their tune once they see how many people demand this space.

The kids need somewhere to ride instead of just hanging around the streets. This is a great idea for ayrshire.

Total waste of time flattening them in the first place. Build a proper park and stop moaning about it.
