We, the undersigned, lovers of books, reading, and the skill and quality of the criticism and reviews of Pulitzer Prize-winner Michael Dirda, hereby petition THE WASHINGTON POST to maintain the internet broadcast of the weekly discussion forum DIRDA ON BOOKS. For the past several years, Mr Dirda has been providing book-lovers with a much-needed forum for the discussion and appreciation of the written word. Such opportunities are vanishing from the media landscape, and we would ask that this discussion be allowed to continue in its current format.
