Colonial Village resident with a two year old & one on the way. My husband and I look forward to the positive changes at Sedgefield and to being involved parents at the schools.

My wife and I are so encouraged that this school discussion has come to the forefront. So many young families are choosing to live in Sedgefield and we have a great neighborhood dynamic. Unfortunately some families with young children have chosen to move out in an effort to get into better school districts and I would be so nice to keep us all together and established long term relationships. We are definitely committed to working with the PTA to assist in any way possible. Thanks to those that have been spearheading this push and setting up this well written petition. 23 month old boy and 3 week old girl

All schools have the potential for greatness! The synergy between these schools, commitment and parental support for teachers and administration, will make these schools great!

We live across the street from Sedgefield Elementary and have decided that in its current state we would Not send our 1 year old daughter there. We are really excited about the proposed change and hope that with more parent involvement and support both Dilworth and Sedgefield can have great schools.

Please support this first step toward greater inclusion. I have a two year old daughter and another on the way and want them to go to school with their neighbors and not have to travel great distances to get there - this is the type of education I had in the public system and want the same for my children. Also, you schod know that a lot of the parents in the named neighborhoods have lot to offer - many have graduate degrees AND diversity and wish to engage and make our schools stronger through involvement/participation and support of the teachers.

My family moved from Dilworth to the Sedgefield neighborhood in 1959 and I've lived here since. My brother and I attended our wonderful, neighborhood schools. Both Sedgefield Elementary and Junior High. I've volunteered/mentored at Sedgefield Elementary and worked closely with their PTA and some of their best teachers for years. It's an investment in the future and a wonderful experience for me. I'll continue to support Sedgefield neighborhood schools ANY way I can.
