I honestly cannot stop staring at the screen because the confirmation finally hit my inbox and they are actually doing the translation for the PSP game. It feels like a lifetime of refreshing pages and shouting into the void just evaporated into thin air which is just wild (I am …
It is the expressed interest of international Digimon fans from over 23 countries, that Namco Bandai Games translate their upcoming title 'Digimon Adventure (PSP)' to languages more conducive to their fan base for the following reasons:
a. The legacy of their 'Digimon' franchise achieved overwhelming success in western countries of specific interest and therefore i) Legitimize the countries as deserved consumers of aforementioned product ii) Legitimizes the fans in these countries as intimately connected to the series.
b. The translation and sale of this title internationally via digital media will inhibit piracy in great regard. (It is clear that piracy was rampant during the release of said company's previous title 'Digimon Re-Digitize')
c. The translation and sale of this title internationally via digital media will inhibit the piracy, cracking and illegal adjustments of the PSP system.
d. The financial gain potential of releasing the title is this manner is clear, as is evident by the support found in this petition.
e. The international release of said title would ensure sustained interest in the Digimon series. The legacy of which is most certainly deserved, and is owned by all who ensure its success; essentially, the international fan-base whom dedicated financial and emotional input in no short amount for a number of years.
Therefore, it is in this formal request that we compel Namco Bandai Games to answer on aforementioned points and provide adequate argumentation as to the decisions taken as a result.
I was just looking at the counter and we are actually creeping up on five hundred signatures which is honestly wild because I really thought the momentum would plateau by now but it totally hasnt. If everyone could just grab their phone and send the link to a few people who also remember waking up early on Saturdays for this show I think we could smash through this goal before the night is over.

I just saw the counter roll over to one hundred which actually feels kind of wild because when I typed this out I really thought it would just be me and maybe two friends. It is honestly bizarre to think that many people actually care about a niche PSP translation as much as I do but here we are.

We are crawling toward that first hundred mark and honestly seeing the count tick up makes me think we might actually get someone at the studio to look at these points. Please send this link to anyone else you know who grew up with the show because I really want to hit that milestone before I start drafting the letter to the publishers.

It would further Namco's monetary gain if this translation becomes reality. So why not petition for a translation? I'm all in!!
