THIS PETITION ASKS FOR SUPPORT FOR MEN TO HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS IN THE MATTER OF REPRODUCTIVE CHOICE AND FAMILY RIGHTS. We all feel sorry for parents whose spouse has abandoned them and left them without the means to bring up their children. This is an injustice we all know about. There is another injustice less publicised. In the past week I have spoken to : A man who has been accused by a former casual girlfriend of being the father of her 15 year old son, who he had always known as the child of her next boyfriend. A man whose girlfriend told him she was on the pill, then got pregnant and left him for another man as soon as the pregnancy was confirmed. A man whose wife got pregnant and immediately filed for divorce, in spite of the fact that he wanted the child, in order to get maintenance. A man whose girlfriend told him she had had an abortion, then filed for maintenance two years after they had split up, knowing he was not aware of the child
