To me, Dick Allen was the best player I have ever seen in my life. I get very confrused when people keep talking about a "checkered" career. Dick Allen had a Great career! And, he was and is a very fine man. It is such a shame that a lifetime fan of this game, has very little say in who should be honored. Please elect Dick Allen to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It is NOT COMPLETE without him!

Willie Stargell was right- anything Dick Allen did would go unnoticed today. One of the HOF panelists referred to a "checkered career". Wrong! Ask any of Mr. Allen's teammates or managers. Ask Mike Schmidt. Do the decent thing for an amazing, deserving baseball player and decent human being. While he's still with us.
