Truely one of the greatest hitters I have seen in my lifetime. I remember watching the balls sail out of Connie Mack stadium when he came to bat. Had the pleasure of meeting him 20 yrs ago. Will always be one of my Baseball Heros.

He belongs in the Hall Of Fame. The guys he played against would agree. He did what he did in a short amount of time during a time when outside factors of the game had an impact on Allen.

OPS+ of 165 for 10 years was better than NO ONE . Not even Hank Aaron or Willie Mays. That's unbelievable !
