Diamond/Ruby/Emerald players in Current Gen

I know 2k is focusing on next gen,but it seems like
current gen gets no love.
Even tough we got crew,which is just blacktop in my opinion,
we really have nothing spectecular comparing to last year.
I want to reach out to 2k and show them this.
Ruby players should be obtained trough tournaments,because
this will keep competetiveness in the game.
Diamond trough collections (e.g...Diamond Lebron obtainable if collected every star players of each team etc...) This will keep people tryin to get that diamond and keep opening packs. Which will favor 2k as some are gonna buy that VC.
So this will benefit for the players as for the gameplay and
benefit 2k for money
