Dexcom is great and we love it. But, they recently made an adhesive change to make it more secure. Unfortunately, this change has caused some people to have adverse reactions ranging from a rash to full-blown hives. With your help, I’d like to ask Dexcom’s CEO to provide two options; sensitive skin with the old adhesive and stronger adhesive with the new. This should be a win/win for all including Dexcom. I used to work in manufacturing and this adjustment shouldn’t be difficult. Please help achieve options for all, so even more people can continue to use Dexcom.
Seeing the momentum grow has been exhausting but truly validating. It is clear that we are not the only ones struggling with these reactions and I am grateful to everyone who has stepped up to help push this forward.

I have a contact allergy to adhesives, the G6 works well for me with very minimal irritation with use of a barrier wipe. The G7 with use of a barrier wipe gave me a rash that turned into blistering skin. Not only is this painful and distressing but even with site rotation the skin will not heal for continuous use. With CGMs integrated into insulin pump automation they are critical to insulin therapy.

Noticed the change around January 2020. Now I have scars on my left and right arm including my stomach on both sides. PLEASE REVERT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORMULA FOR THE ADHESIVES. Thanks in advance!

Please go back. Dexcom changed my life for the better, and I would love to keep using it. At least give an option of which kind we can order!
