Devore is not a shelter it's a slaughter houses for animals! Employees and those who are in control deserve to be fired and in prison for abuse

There needs to be some serious change at this shelter….I would’ve even call it a shelter, more like, an animal kill centre. I don’t know how the employees working here sleep at night, only heartless and soulless humans work here. Shut this place down or change your policies as you’re honestly not helping these animals.

This despicable Kill Shelter should close its doors forever! They have no intention of appropriately communicating with rescues and the public. In fact, they are so psychopathic that they seem content to inflict pain, misery and ultimately death upon their defenceless victims, being animals! Put this evil shelter out of business altogether!

Our precious baby was from a puppy mill, she was in horrible shape (we ended up paying nothing for her, the horrible lady walked inside so we just left with our pup) she is now 13 with vets saying she has the body of an 8 year old!

I I have followed this shelter for many years and its actions are inexcusable. They kill way too many animals that are deemed rescue only or unadoptable by an incompassionate person that is not even trying to save animals. How about getting a vet or vet assistant on staff to help the poor pets that come in injured or sick. Thank God for volunteers and some of the compassionate staff there. The guy in charge needs to be fired. Shame on you CA I thought you were a progressive State not oppressive. Do the right thing, really become no kill. Get volunteers to work with Pet stores to bring animals to adoption events, bring to fairs for adoption. Walk the dogs with a rescue me best. I’ll buy you some if you would do this. Sincerely a prior resident who adopted one of your kitties with pnuemonia that survived to live a long beautiful life.

I can’t believe that not one government official has stepped up or stepped in to stop this horrible excuse for an animal “shelter” from killing innocent adoptable pets.
