In the gaming community there is a distinct lack of female representation. Women who game are thought of as a very small majority, which, in actuality, is very untrue. Women desperately need more representation in the community, or else they will continue to face daily abuse online, and in the real world too. The amount of strong women in video games is dagnerously low, and female gamers and programmers and constantly harassed with unwelcome advances and slurs at conventions, online, and in the workplace, forcing them to leave due to feeling unsafe, anyone would agree that the conditions women work and play under in the video game community are deplorable, and quickly need to be changed.

I believe that if we include more female protagonist in more games, that treatment will slowly get better. I do realize that it could take a while, not only because of development but also because there could be a lack of support, but I know that we could help create more female empowering games at the very least.
