Manston Airport is a former RAF Base,in East Kent, closest to the Continent and an ideal location for a commercial enterprise where Cargo and Passenger flights can be Operated, to Europe and further afield

It has a main terminal and has one of the Longest Runways in the UK, almost 2 Miles Long, but Neglect and Closure have turned it into a Derelict site, if it was developed properly, then we could see an impact on the lack of facilities at Heathrow and Gatwick Airports that are running out of Space and was once used as a diversion Airport for Heathrow and Gatwick if British airways were not able to land there

Testing took place here of the New Airbus A380 and for Emirates cargo Flights, so it has huge potential to be the best Airport in the country if planned correctly

Local Airlines could operate here to ferry passengers to Heathrow, Gatwick and London City, across to Amsterdam and Brussels as well as Lisbon and Barcelona, where Africa the Middle East and even the Far East beckon those who want an alternative to the main congested Airports

We need to Invest £6-£8 billion into Manston Airport to bring it up to a good level of operation, instead of the £50- £60 Billion it will cost for a new runway and terminals at Heathrow or Gatwick Airports and with its location it is well worth the investment, that even the Government doesn't realise its potential, if we could get a large Company like Virgin Airline, Qatar or Emirates to operate from here, the Potential is Phenominal, and the Fuel savings would mean lower running costs and untimimately lower fares that we all want

Landing and Take off fees could be Lower than Heathrow and Gatwick to attract new business and there is a lot of room to expand with new Rail links on the cards and a dual carriageway running alongside the Runway which will give good access to the Airport

It has good links to Ramsgate, Folkestone and Dover, it is elevated so as to be seen from the air, and it was Once the Emergency landing Runway for Concorde the first ever Supersonic Airliner
