Currently, Lehigh Valley is classified as Philadelphia under the meeting planner site, Cvent. There are 463 properties listed within this category at the present time. If planners are savvy, they are able to filter by cities to find properties they are looking to book, but if they are specifically interested in our region, they would have to know to look under Philadelphia.
We would like to propose changing this designation to Lehigh Valley as a standalone region within the Cvent network. In order to do so, we must have a compelling story, and have the buy-in of our lodging partners and board members.

Cvent refuses to acknowledge our existence and keeps dumping our properties into a Philadelphia bucket that makes no sense. I am tired of explaining to them that the Lehigh Valley is a distinct market that deserves its own identity. Do not let these corporate bureaucrats ignore us while our local businesses lose out on potential bookings.

The Lehigh Valley stands-alone in representation along with what we offer in comparision to the Philadelphia market.
As the 68th largest municipality in the United States, Lehigh Valley needs its own stand alone region to differentiate this market from the nearby Philadelphia market
