In Northland there is no real designated place that car enthusiasts can meet and are allowed to be "hoons" I would like to change this as there are to many deaths on our roads related to excessive speed,drunk driving or younger drivers thinking they can take that corner slightly faster than they should. I think a small skid pan or Figure 8 circuit would be Ideal where no silly speeds are achieved and it's a safe environment due to the track/pan being an enclosed area with plenty of runoff to at least slow down a vehicle. This area would be strictly Alcohol free and cars would either have to have a Warrent of Fitness/ race certification and their would be very limited noise restraint due to the nature of engines and squealing tires being rather loud. The feedback I am receiving proves that local enthusiasts are desperate for a controlled environment to practice driving safely. Email your local representatives today to demand they stop ignoring the clear need for a dedicated skid pan in Northland.

We need a place for us car people so we don't get into trouble and don't anoy any one so we have a place we can enjoy
Isn't a safe pad better than roads? Also if a safe driving pad is erected, there could be higher penalties for drivers drifting and speeding on the road
Will be a good idea to keep it off the roads

Car group evidence needs some areas just to meet up and look at our cars Clean and safe

This would actually help those car enthusiasts to not go onto the nearest road near you at night and wake you up
