In Northland there is no real designated place that car enthusiasts can meet and are allowed to be "hoons" I would like to change this as there are to many deaths on our roads related to excessive speed,drunk driving or younger drivers thinking they can take that corner slightly faster than they should. I think a small skid pan or Figure 8 circuit would be Ideal where no silly speeds are achieved and it's a safe environment due to the track/pan being an enclosed area with plenty of runoff to at least slow down a vehicle. This area would be strictly Alcohol free and cars would either have to have a Warrent of Fitness/ race certification and their would be very limited noise restraint due to the nature of engines and squealing tires being rather loud.
