My father, Rufus Nims, was one of the main architects of mid-century modern architecture in Miami, so I am very sensitive to the demolition of buildings like the Office in the Grove. Buildings such as this deserve to have historical designation so as to be preserved, or else it will go the way of many, many others who were not so lucky, and were torn down in the name of development.

South Beach saved its significant Art Deco buildings, and Miami must do the same by preserving examples of its earlier architectural history. There is no good reason to tear down this building!

We need to preserve some of older buildings in Coconut Grove to retain some of its character.

Office in the Grove is one of the finest architectural buildings in our area designed by one of the most talented and brilliant architects. Definitely should be saved as a beautiful landmark of coconut grove and a signature building in Miami

Designed in 1972 by Internationally known architect Kenneth Treister, FAIA. Office in the Grove is now in danger of demolition by its owner.
