Depakote didn't disclose fast enough, and caused Osteoporosis.

My son took Depakote at first for his seizures. He has broken several bones since. Maybe I need to have him checked for osteoporosis.

im just getting a petition together to lobby goverment to stop depokote it causes dementia and suicides cancer it might help people who have fits but its not for everyone

I have taken Depakote for years and have severe back problems,bone spurs in my hips,Degenerative joint disease,knee replacement because of bone and loss of cushion between bones,sciatica,spinal stenosis.

oops I forgot one thing don't know if this well help on my MRI it says this "spinal stenosis"

yes am on facebook thanks I well look for your group, no I never thought of asking for a bone density test, I think I have medicare hope they cover the test, right now I take Topiramate for my seizures, I just got so bad news that my new primary care doctor wants me to have surgery done on my lower back and not to do physical therapy that my neurologist wants me to do, man am so confused :( and thinks for letting me know about the milk thistle I sure am going to get some, I ready do take vitamin D3 thanks again need all the remiders I can get lol

have you had a bone density test? if not I would have one ordered. I would also start on Vitamin D3. If you have medicaid Some of their programs will cover it. Like I tell Everyone, I have studied medicine for 22 years, and I recommend anyone taking meds, especially seizure meds to take milk thistle. Seizure meds especially are VERY HARD on our Liver, and we kind of need those to live LOL. Milk thistle filters our Liver very effectively. God Bless, but I would seriously get your bone density checked if you can afford it.

People over profits!! Using the general population as test subjects or hiding side life altering side effects is evil!! Change is coming medicine for profit will be defeated.

I use to take Depakote for about 6 years, I know that's why I don't have that any teeth left, and yes I do have alot of back issues to like bone rubbing on bone, when standing or moving yeah you hear bones popping, yeah sometimes it hurts, I never thought of it having to do with Depakote for the bones thank you for letting me know.

I have been taking Depakote since I was first diagnosed with Epilepsy 16 years ago ( I am 30 years old). I constantly hear my bones cracking when I stand up or move around. I have not been diagnosed with osteoporosis but this is Very concerning to me since my neurologist will not take me off of it. I was taken off of it once, when I was first diagnosed and I had multiple grand Mal seizures. This makes me scared about what else they are hiding and not putting on the medicine's label.

My son took depakote for several years. Our new neurologist took him off of it when he started showing signs of jaundice.

I sign this petition because, I created this, I am the one that my doctor told me depakote caused me to have osteoporosis, my mother and I were NEVER TOLD ANYTHING. This has affected MY LIFE!!!!!

he is my son.. I feel my son should be compensated for this.. and warnings should be on labels for this drug.. it has caused him so much pain and has disabled him..
