California chased CAFO's out because of water shortage, but our state government is in the pocket of CAFO's and allow them to do as they please.

The ground water of the Central Sands Aquifer are too important and fragile to risk losing. CAFO's are not environmentally friendly. We are seeing the results of these aberrations throughout our state. Large-scale factory farms are not sustainable and should be highly regulated and discouraged. Once our water is polluted, we as a people, as a culture, are no longer sustainable either.

When someone builds next to a dairy farm, they have no right to complain about the smell or the water quality...but we were here first. You wouldn't put a CAFO in the middle of Stevens Point. Why should you allow one in the middle of our residential area???

DNR is well aware the Central Sands is one of the worst possible places to site a CAFO with all the waste that must be gotten disposed of. Central Sands Dairy in Juneau County, Town of Armenia is a perfect example of the devastating effects a CAFO can have on an area. DNR, DO YOUR JOB, not Cathy Stepp and Scott Walker's dirty business.

This is a horrible idea! The price per hundred weight is so low,as it is. A,FREEZE ON NEW DAIRY Farms NEEDS TO TAKE PLACE! Factory farms are horrible!!

The Central Sands region is not an appropriate site for the CAFO operation as demonstrated by the Armenia problems. With the current lull in dairy prices, it makes no sense to support this type of expansive operation.

If allowed this operation will permanently reduce ground and surface water levels, will contaminate ground and surface waters, will allow untreated animal waste to be applied onto surrounding land, will create odor problems, will damage local paved and unpaved roads and will cause private drinking wells to go dry.
