The town of Rome is such a beautiful destination place for vacationers and a wonderful place to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer. If anyone thinks this farm isn't going to affect the near by communities home owners and water shed they are crazy. My Mother and Father live three miles from a large dairy farm in Wrightstown Wi. Within a year there were eighteen wells that went dry in my parents neighborhood,, That was just the start of water problems, contamination of wells, terrible smell, terrible smell, that they have to live with constantly. Then there are all the trucks hauling the liquid manure, the terrible road conditions from the truck travel to say nothing about the filth on the roads from the run off from the trucks as they travel. I could go on with many more negatives, no positives. The vacation area tourist area of Rome does not need or want neighbors like the farms being proposed in Saratoga..

CAFOs threaten the groundwater of their neighbors and they concentrate an unsustainable number of animals in one location.

This kind of situation reminds me of people trying to get the best seat in town mowing down all the neighbors in the process. Profits for the mower, depleting the right to survive for the original land owners. Sickening, heartbreaking, greedy. If this keeps on, where are these CAFOS going to go for their water after they have deserted the lands and waters? It has to stop somewhere and the people who live on those waters in the first place are the ones who deserve it, not the greedy ones who bully there way into resources to fund their own private interests.

Deny the permits. This area should never have been considered for industrialized ag. Wysocki CAFO in Juneau County, Town of Armenia is existing proof of why this should not happen.

Upholding current law and permitting a CAFO in Saratoga's sandy permeable soils is NOT a way to preserve our water. These industrialized operations have no place in a residential/recreational area. With the potential to detrimentally impact ALL surrounding areas, I ask that you deny the permits for CAFO and preserve our communities clean air, clean water, lakes and streams, property values and peace of mind. This is inviting disaster and does not belong in our community. GUARANTEED contamination. Just ask the experts.

There is a reason we purchased land in the beautiful area of Rome 15 years ago. Now to possibly have a CAFO come in and rape the land and ruin the water will be an absolute atrocity. How can we be sure our water supply will not be affected and residents not harmed? We can't be! This is exactly why this farm should not be allowed to build and operate here.

My family and friends have enjoyed Lake Arrowhead for over 35 years and do not want our lake house impacted by a CAFO. We ask that you take a hard look at this proposed project and what it would do to all of the surrounding areas. Stand up for us and make it right.
C'mon man!
Please stop destroying our beautiful Wisconsin.
STOP ALL CAFOs in WISCONSIN.
