Deny the Permits for the Golden Sands Dairy (CAFO)

Wisconsin's natural resources, as well as our citizens, deserve protection. Deny these permits.

We don't need this CAFO. It is horrible for Wisconsin in every way. This is nothing but a grab for profit, at huge expense to current and future residents. Deny these permits.

Please deny the permits for this CAFO. It seems every week I'm seeing media reports of CAFO farms spilling liquid manure contaminating streams or lakes. Our local lakes, streams and woodlots are worth far more than one farm.

If not for the safety & welfare of your current and future neighbors, please say NO because there have been legal and criminal ramifications to parties in other areas who have granted permission to such companies. Refuse to be used to put price tags on priceless resources.

Keep CAFO out of the Rome area.

Please save Wisconsin's water. This proposed Golden Sands Dairy will threaten a large watershed.

Has there been a milk shortage of which I am unaware? We must stop the corporate grab of our natural resources.

Please protect our water

Clean and safe water drinking water must a priority for our children.

CAFOs should not be located in an area so close to homes, lakes and streams. Especially when situated in an area whose local economy is experiencing a boom in recreational tourism. Please deny the permits for the sake of our area's environmental and economic health.

Giant dairies which reduce water levels and contaminate drinking water are not good for Wisconsin. Deny the permit for this dairy and protect Wisconsin's environment for the future.

Protecting our water and air is a must. PLEASE pay attention to what the public is saying, RATHER than about profits.

Factory farming is the leading cause of dead zones in our oceans, dry wells, green house gasses, and many other bad things. Hundreds of times more contributing to green house gasses than every petroleum burning device in the world put together.

Deny the permit now or regret it later

We cannot allow factory farms to exist any longer. We have opened our eyes to the horrors they inflict on the animals, the threat to water, the degrading of air quality, the health risks to those living near them & the devalue of properties. Nothing good comes of them.

In addition to the water issues, the impact on the recreational and tourism nature of the Central Wisconsin Area and the recent development of the Wisconsin Trap Shooters Home Grounds with their potential as the training facility of the US Olympic team and the development of a potential of 5 world class golf courses at Sand Valley by the Keiser Group and the economic benefits of creating a world class golfing destination here in Central Wisconsin can not be ignored.

I still find it hard to believe that in the big picture, this is something that we have to fight. For as many citizens to have to fight for something as basic as clean air and water is beyond me. To have what they call a “family” farm trying to go in to make money, where they are not wanted and will do harm to the lives of many people is also beyond me. I don’t know anybody personally that would continue a fight like what Wysocki is doing. How can they justify? Let’s check out the good and the bad: Good: Wysocki makes money. Lots of it. Bad: Citizens will be harmed physically. (Water contamination) Citizens will lose money. (property values will go down, many will have to re-drill their wells, down the road may will need bottled water, or water treatment) How can Wysocki’s justify any of this?
