Deny Loveland Ready Mix Proposed Pit, concrete Batch Plant, Concrete Crushing facility

LaPorte is a growing family oriented community and the last thing it needs is another cement plant. Keep our community a quiet residential and safe home site. NO CEMENT PLANT PLEASE!

As a CLP Elementary and Middle School family, I would ask that the health of the children at school, on the playgrounds, and at sports practice be placed center stage on this issue. In addition, the increase in truck traffic with children crossing the street and walking home should be considered. This business would be so much more appropriately placed outside of town.

As a resident of this lovely little community I also would not see the benefit of brining this plant along with it's noise, pollution and traffic to our small town.

I am adamantly opposed to a cement batch plant in our area and am extremely concerned about potential hydrological issues and ground water contamination as well as contamination of Dutch water used on neighboring farmland. This is not a good idea for the health of our community present or future!

My mom, sister and little bother live directly to the west of this proposed site. Just on the other side of a barbed wire fence. My elderly mom cares for my autistic little brother who has sensory sensitivities as well as anxiety. When she moved there almost 16 years ago it was with the intent of providing an environment where my brother could feel safe and comfortable. My mom is aging and though she continues to support my brother, my sister built her own home here as well. She supports both my mom and brother and has physical disabilities of her own. She has allergies and at times severe asthma. This proposed quarry and concrete plant will not just disrupt their way of life, it could destroy it. Not only could they face a myriad of health issues to compound what they are already dealing with, they could lose their financial stability. This is not a fair and just proposal. Loveland Ready Mix Concrete can decimate the land elsewhere, where there is not a community of people who breathe, live and work each day.

please consider the future of our community and our world. together we must make choices that protect the interest and integrity of our land and community. And the future of food.

Please think of the health of the community that this would impact including the air and water quality as well as the impact to nearby farms, schools and neighborhoods.

I am a community physician with deep ties to the social service, agricultural, and educational communities in Northern Colorado. Please consider this request to deny approval for the development of this facility. Allowing this level of industrial activity within such proximity to homes and family farms has the potential to disrupt well-being during all phases of the project. From the increased traffic and environmental impact during construction, to the long-term trucking routes that will service it, to the lost opportunities to develop this in a community-oriented manner, this proposal puts narrowed interests first and people at risk.

I have lived in this area for over 30 years. One of it's charms is the feeling of being in the country, away from the traffic and congestion of the greater Ft Collins area. I do not want a noisy, dusty pit with large trucks destroying this peace. I vote NO!

Not right for this community!

The proposed location is our "gateway" to Laporte. This operation would bring enough traffic to bring down our property values and reduce our quality of life. Many of us chose to buy property in Laporte in order to avoid traffic and increased pollution.

Keep our Laporte community clean and quiet!

Please do not allow a concrete batch plant, gravel mining pit, and concrete crushing to be allowed in LaPorte. We already have enough pollution, excess truck travel and debris in the roads in our neighborhoods due to the Martin Marietta Asphalt plant just south of this location. This plant alone is causing known and unknown pollution, and exposing the children in schools surrounding this location to harmful toxins. Our ELECTED officials (commissioners) need to listen to the voters and forcefully oppose this NEW polluter of our area.

The negative out weighs the positive! The hundreds of families, farms, animals, wildlife, beautiful quiet community this will effect. There is just too much negitive impact on the Laporte area and areas beyond. Not only does this affect Laporte but how about all others that have to travel 54G daily from Bellevue, Rist Canyon, Lory State Park, and many others that pass though daily. As you see this is the only main though far for many. This is just the traffic portion that will be a very bad thing. Many other negative points that will harm our community is, pollution ( noise, air & water) again not only us, but also those down wind or Stream) Agricultural, Water (wells & irrigation) there already wells drying up from other pits in area. Schools, businesses in area. Wildlife, wetlands, And what happens with the little cache la Poudre , many of us depend on this for run off durning storms for we don't flood above the plan pit area. People that live in the area came here to get away from noise, pollution, traffic, and to enjoy the farm, mountain quiet beauty, how many horses will you see being riden down Main Street with big trucks passing by? None, which happens often now. Your taking away our community that we moved here for!!!! This is not a fair thing to impose on our LaPorte Community. I say NO! There must be a better way! We are already being surrounded by pits. Enough is enough!

Big business coming in and damaging small groups of people trying to live free of the very thing that is trying to move in. The community was already there and established before this company tried to move in. The very basis of the company would damage and undo everything that this community is trying to live for. IE organic self sustaining living. Do not bring poison to a community that does not want it. This is inhumane and I feel devalues if not violates our right to pursue happiness. The right to pursue happiness is a human right and not a corporation right. The needs and desires of the community directly effected, should outweigh the desires of a business.

I am very concerned about the Loveland Ready Mix proposed cement plant in Laporte. The plant is proposed to be located right at the entrance of our community, threatening to reduce our property values and most definitely decreasing the quality of life for citizens in the Laporte area. The proposed location is at the very entrance of town and sends the wrong message about our community. As we continue to see more and more young families move into the area, we hope to see positive growth and infrastructure that engages people in our community- growth similar to the new building on 54G and Overland Trail that will be a gathering space for residents. The cement plate will do the exact opposite. I implore you to say NO. No to the decreased air quality. No to the increased noise pollution. No to the increased traffic on 54G. I am also concerned about my neighboring vegetable farm. As someone who supports the organic farm by purchasing and consuming their vegetables, I worry that the proposed plant will negatively impact the farm operation and the quality of the food grown on the organic farm. Please do not allow Loveland Ready Mix to build a cement batch plant or crushing operation in Laporte. The negative impacts for the community far outweigh the financial gain for one privately owned company.
