Stop the GDC prosecuting unlawfully - legal whitening as of EU regulations
Lets have confirmed that the European legislation supersedes the UK legislation which is the dental act 84 to which the GDC state that whitening is illegal.
Signing this petition will get confirmed that under 0.01% does not apply to the dental act when applying gel to the tooth as the EU directive states it comes with no rules or restrictions.

Teeth whitening is cosmetic and should be a personal adult informed choice who they have this done by.
As non peroxide agents are used and as long as health and safety regulations are adhered to I see no reason why teeth whitening can not be carried out by your beautician giving that they have had full training under the correct supervision. It is for cosmetic purpose after all without any risks.
GDC are using bully-boy tactics and attempting to put thousands of people out of a job!!! Not good for the economy
I do not see how a self adminstered teeth whitening gel which is non peroxide can possibly be illegal. This is completely ridiculous and pure greed by the GDC trying to keep theis small area of busines for the dentists as well as tapping into the beauty salons business by now offering treatments the beauty salons do, its fine for them but not the other way round.
This is cosmetic and also non peroxide it's a cleaner it's nothing to do with dentistry gcd needs to sort this out
the gdc are covering the real law breakers.
This needs to be changed and Rebecca is the 1 to make this happen

Yes I strongly agree that people who have trained and paid good money to learn these skills to an addon service to the existing services they provide should be able to continue to provide this safe and effective treatment wiithout fear of being prosecuted ! If this paractice is illegal why then are their courses to train and quaalify
