Kemikalier, affald og forurening er en global miljøtrussel, som ikke stopper ved nationale grænser. På lige fod med klimaforandringer og tab af biodiversitet, kan sådanne udfordringer kun løses gennem en fælles indsats fra hvert eneste medlem af det internationale samfund, understøttet af den bedst tilgængelige videnskabelige viden.

Derfor bør Danmark støtte oprettelsen af IPCP ved det kommende et kommende møde i FNs Miljøforsamling (UNEA 5.2) fra den 28. februar til den 2. marts 2022 i Nairobi, Kenya.
