This kind of lack of provisions and disregards for the needs of students in third level education is one of the core reasons why there is so much emigration. If you're going to train the youth, train them right and make them feel like they're wanted. Otherwise we're going to continue to drive away all our talent.

For a National College our college is a joke, under its current circumstances

NCAD is a place of education, not a business wishing to make profit. What was once the place of highest esteemed learning in the arts is now lagging behind to bottom position amongst the countries arts colleges. It seems that the prestigious ethos is now lost. As is the colleges standing in the art world. If this does not change soon, the college will self combust. sadly those in management with high wages will have such good enough pensions that they will care very little about the college and students. Big big shame on them...

It is a disgrace that the college has serious management problems and that students are suffering in their tuition because of it. The fact that no board of management is not in place, that the Dept. Education is dragging their heels and funding is being cut for departments in the college is beyond a joke. The furnace was a major issue for those doing Glass and as a result, my own daughter had to go to USA for experience to make up the short fall. It is about time Mr. McGonagle was replaced with a more competent Director and facilities properly established for the education of students.

As a former graduate of NCAD I am in full support of the students and staff who raised this petition. The damage being done to the college's reputation by incompetent management is appalling.
