I moved from Canada when I was younger because they were trying to force me to learn a second inferior language. (french)!

This is crazy talk, this family should not be fined any sum of money because they wrote english on their boxes & they choose Toronto for a reason because they cant take the bullshit you "language police" are causing. You aren't police your rejects that wanted to be officers but were not intellegent enough & couldn't be bilingual to be hired by the government. Now you take it out on innocent families, and regular everyday hardworking people because your life sucks. This family is moving & could use that $3000 dollars on something important for the families wellbeing, instead of giving it to a couple of lowlife reject pigs. Don't hate on the english language, and refund this family all they gave in that fine plus pay for their moving costs, its a tough economy right now for some people still. Thats my opinion & i don't care if people disagree with my thoughts on this, they are my thoughts canada is a free country, & people should not be fined for speaking our first official language, the last i checked french was the second official language in this country not the other way around.

The problem is not as much that the boxes aren't in french, it is that they are in english. I wonder if they could fine someone for writing TO on the box.

I'm french and I am very upset and frustrated about this situation. Guess what? Do you think that only anglophone people want to move out of Quebec? No. I will too as soon as I can with all my money and propreties. Enough is enough. Nobody ever asked how many french people want to move out of Quebec. Somebody should be very upset about the results. C'mon, ask CBC to do one and publish the results.
