Those of us who live in Quebec are starting to be ashamed of our politicians,they have gone way to far with there laws. Are we not suppose to be living in a world of freedom, and not be dictated to every time we mention an english word. Shame on all Quebec Politicians.
I hate this province more everyday. I am ashamed to admit that Quebec is where I was born and live. Those sick human beings in government need more to do with thier time than chase down english signs on boxes. Come on really?
I was taught in high school by my French 1st language French teacher that proper names, including cities, were not translatable. I sure hope the "powers that be", the feds, if necessary and save this family from these bullies!!! ary e ge
I have no words to say, just so sad. I can not stand this injustice any more and am trying to find a way to get out of here :s I didn't know there was more than one way to spell Toronto. Next thing you know they will be telling me to write my name in French.
This wasn't a matter of defying language laws, it's convenience of writing one word vs three on a moving box. The word Toronto is in "Ville de Toronto" much like USA is written for the United States of America. This fine is just cruel. They're leaving anyway!!

It's ridiculous. In Ontario we have to be 100% bilingual yet across the bridges it only has to be French. Idiotic. Writing in English on moving boxes should not warrant a fine. Society is getting ridiculous with things like this. Leave it be.
