Like other countries, Covid-19 pandemic has brought serious distress to people of different clusters in Bangladesh. Since March,2021 there has been no mentionable job circulars in Public Sector whereas the covid situation doesn't allow to held public job entrance exams. As a result, the youth generation has been suffering a lot regarding 'age loss' as the existing govt. policy restricts job seekers to apply for govt. job till the age 30. This very generation, who has to wait till 26 (on an average as per data) for the completion of their higher study,has lost already 1.5 years due to covid. The scenario represents a picture where people around 28/29 age during covid start timeline could exceed the age limit 30 without having oppurtunity of public job exams. Even the age group who completed higher study at the age of 26 during the pandemic beginning are yet to sit for any exam & already have lost 1.5 years. On the other hand, Gradutation level students are seen stuck in the same semester since the last 14 months. The overall situation has created a deadlock that possesses a great threat for the career of the youth generation in Bangladesh. Essence of fraustration for time loss & wave for '32 demand' are now commonly seen on social media platforms where the generation is seen vocal regarding their distress.

1991 was the last time when BD govt. increased the govt. job entrance age from 27 to 30 considering the average longevity 57. During the 30 years, there has been no increase to the job entrance age limit whereas the average longevity of Bangladeshi people is now 73. Even, the age limit of retiremennt was increased to 59 from 57 in 2011 but increase the age limit of govt. job entrance has been overlooked. Increasing the 'age limit' was also mentioned in the Election Communique of 2018 provided by the rulling party Awami League.

Considering the helpless situation, the job seeker youth generation has aleeady arranged press conference, talk show & submitted memorandum to the ministry of Education as well as Public Administration. They are expecting the honorable PM to realize their helplessness & come forward with a humanitarian response by declaring the covid stimulus of 32 as age limit to govt. job entrance.
