This should be standard procedure for breweries. Beer is a consumable commodity and producers should have this information readily available and easy to locate ON the product.

This is very important consumer information. If you wouldn't buy milk without a date on the carton, you shouldn't buy beer without a date as well.
Edward Timinski
This is a wonderful idea because who doesn't want fresh beer?

Any brewery that does not date stamp both bottles and cases should be boycotted.

My local beer distributor has the audacity to sell expired beer as a "clearance" item just to get rid of it. Every bottle AND packaging should be dated

Date the beer! I rarely purchase beer that I can't date.

This should be self explanatory. It's a win-win for the consumer and vendor. Date the beer!!!

I completely agree with this. Especially with beers that should be had fresh. Every time I see an IPA without a bottle date, I usually don't purchase it … unless I can do some investigation that makes me have some hope that it's fresh, or somewhat fresh. There's been too many times where I risk it and find out it's a malt bomb. It's not fair for myself or the brewery that makes the beer because it's a false representation of what the beer is supposed to be. Especially for the price on some of these bombers. I am all for this to be a real thing. I always talk about how this should be an absolute requirement. Cheers!
Sick of doing guess work with some bottles.
please
do it!
