The parking situation is absurd, for the amount of tuition we are forced to pay. to not even be able to park to attend class.

Hmmmm... 500 parking spots for students? Let's sell 4000 parking passes for the amount of students there are, and let them fight to the death to get a spot they paid for. Meanwhile less than 1/3 of staff parking gets used. Forget that.

Absolutely impossible to find a spot after paying $200 for a parking pass I have to park on side streets and walk to school.

I have attended Kelowna's Okanagan College campus and seen the parking problem first-hand. It is real, it is ridiculous and it needs to be addressed. Students pay enough in tuition, fees, books and other costs. They can't afford to be purchasing a parking pass that they can't use due to lack of stalls, and worse, pay for fines resulting from having to resort to parking in surrounding areas that do not permit it out of necessity. It is easier to bus to the college than drive, and that should say something considering the unpredictable transit system.

multiple students complain about this issue. Saw so many students drive around in the past couple of days looking for parking spots. we pay for a parking pass but what is the point when we can't even use it???

The parking at the college has only gotten worse over the years. In the 4+ years I went to OC the staff parking increased, student parking pass rates increased and somehow the amount of student parking decreased.

Good idea, every single student that attends OC complains about this issue. All they need to do is build a parkade.
