The Outdoor Sports industries (manufacturing, sales, hunting, outfitting, gun stores, etc.), have NO SPECIFIC NAICS Codes (Click here for more information)! The firearms, outfitting, and outdoor industries fall into categories like carnivals, circuses, and military hardware. Because of this problem, when an anti-gun bill is in the process of being passed at the state for federal level, or certain government agencies, such as the BATFE, the Economic Impact Studies show ABSOLUTELY ZERO ECONOMIC LOSS to the economy - NO job loss - NO lost revenue! This is absolutely untrue, and the legislators and agencies who write these unconstitutional bills and regulations should be held accountable!
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS), is used by business and government to determine the economic impact of a given industry on individual States, and the United States economies. Businesses without NAICS codes cannot get SBA loans, or federal assistance for disasters, because they DO NOT EXIST in the government's economic system.
Outdoor Trade Organization and 2AO have teamed up and are working hard to close this loophole for passing anti-gun, anti-hunting, anti-fishing, unconstitutional legislation and regulation. The Outdoor Trade Organization has written NAICS codes for the all hunting, fishing, and shooting businesses within the outdoor industry and have submitted them for approval. 2AO is actively lobbying in Washington D.C. and in state legislatures to spread this message.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! The last step in getting these changes done is to pass the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

I really never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and people are finally starting to see how our businesses get erased from the ledgers. It is honestly wild to think that we have been invisible to the bureaucracy for so long even though we are clearly right here and working just as hard as everyone else.

regulations do have a time and place but over regulation kills the enjoyment of the activity and has a clear negative economic impact.
Yes, a good understanding of the economic impact of the outdoor sports will help a lot. It doesn't take a dummy to look at all of the outdoor sports shops and outlets to know that it is a big market!

Whats good for one is good for all shut the commercial guys down too if the fishery is that stressed. When is everybody going to realize that a created agency can mandate what ever they want!!!! This country is all but ruled by committees and courts any more!!!!(mark) One loophole they forgot you can go and legaly catch all the snapper you want but your catch becomes property of the commercial boat and captain if you want to take fish home you have to buy it back even after you paid a charter fee!!!!

Gather current and REAL data that actually pertain to species and their habitat before creating laws that sanction commercial as well as sport fisherman. Do you reasearch in the correct area of waters.
