The law is clear, either way you look at it. He committed aggravated animal cruelty. If the authorities don't want to prosecute on animal cruelty charges. The law sees animals as property. insist they charge him with destruction of private property.

Shooting a harmless dog who is running for his life and has not caused any harm, tried to attack another animal or person is SHAMEFUL and is ANIMAL CRUELTY!! The fact that the person who shot this poor dog knew the dog and owners and knew the dog was harmless makes it even worse and makes me sick to my stomach!! I understand the animal was on his property but all he had to do was contact the owners and advise them if it happened again he would be contacting the authorities or if he couldn't wait advise them he was contacting them at this point.. but he had no right shooting a non aggressive dog whom he knew and was running for his life in fear... taking away a member of someone's family just because...

THIS nothing less than a cold blooded murder. He was running away and this psycho killed him as he was running. Why in the HELL was this man not arrested?
