Demand That the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Education Provides Better Support to its Teacher Candidates

I highly recommend that as teachers are the pillars of this society.

I stand in solidarity with my partner and his peers who are making the best out of a really terrible year. Here’s to the faculty listening to these valuable concerns and making changes.

Online teaching and in class teaching alternatively brought lot of confusion in my teaching. This, Faculty of education should provide satisfactory grade to all teacher Candidates for their practicum days Regardless of counting number of days to be eligible for the graduation

The lack of support from the Faculty of Education has been startling. The expectation for the teacher candidates to be ‘flexible’ and ‘adaptable’ has put tremendous pressure on us while the Faculty has remained rigid and unmoving towards us. For a program that focuses on the needs of students as an educator’s primary focus, our needs have been wholly unmet by the Faculty.

I whole-heartedly support this petition. While some teachers and faculty members have been kind and considerate, there are others who have actively made an incredibly difficult situation worse.

I support better service provision for teacher candidates.

Teacher Students are our future. We must support them fully to make sure that they will be able to get the best possible support
