Its disgusting to use this contest to try to punish Israel, let alone place blame at the feet of Israel for this. Lok no further than Hamas, Islamic jihad, Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah etc

Disgusted with RTÉ, first of all for not broadcasting the Eurovision, and, secondly, tauntingly broadcasting Fr Ted when they know that co-creator, Graham Linehan, is not in favour of this move. Shane on you all! Thankfully, punters can still vote for their song of choice through the Eurovision website.

RTÉ has not boycotted Russia, Belarus, or Azerbaijan. It has boycotted Israel. The message is clear.

I totally agree that it’s antisemitism. There have never been calls to boycott other countries over political conflicts, whether in music or sport, only Israel, a country the size of Leinster. Russia was taken out because of rule breaking in the Ebu, but antisemites love to forget that fact.
By all means, the EBU could invite any of the 26 Muslim majority countries to participate if they want broader representation and equality. But singling out the world’s only majority Jewish state for exclusion while others compete freely is antisemitism dressed up as anti Zionism.
I won’t be dictated to. I’ll be watching on BBC.
