Serious public transportation overhauls are needed... Not just for those who cannot afford vehicles, but for our aging population as well as for the environment and toll on our public roads.
Also consider having a drive to garner support for classy, artistic bus stops with seating and protection from rain. They could each be adopted and named for the benefactor or groups.

Our transit system is not being ran as effectively as possible. A bus going to the Zoo would encourage those people to park and bus the route. The Overton Park garage is free during the day till 6:00PM. People could enjoy both the square and the park.. A win, win for midtown, unless the greedy zoo doesn't want to play along...

There are already buses in Memphis. Problems existing with Mata is that buses are not on time, and the buses are just outdated. Yes, there needs to be easier transferable ways from bus to bus...but let's not only focus on the midtown area and areas around the universitities. Remember the underprivileged people who constantly ride your buses and deserves a better service in their neighborhoods. Fix the issues, Mata.

Dear Mayor Strickland,
This simple loop would be a boon for tourism and your local voting base. Please consider.
