Back in the summer of 2012 there were rumblings of a push for legislation for microstamping guns made by Remington and Colt. Microstamping would stamp not just the gun but the spent casing with a specific serial number...a "game changer". Remington and Colt...and their lobbyists have said that they will pack up and leave New York and Connecticut and head to more gun friendly states if legislation passes to microstamp.
