The punishment should fit the crime and in this case JCPS is wrong! This girl did what she thought was right. Shes 15, she shouldn't have to make this type of decision. JCPS has plenty of problems and Phoenix O'Neal is NOT one of them.

Phoenix is a hero, in fact, may have saved a life or lives that day. It’s time to make some policy changes and handbook revisions.

Phoenix did the best anyone could have done in a situation like this. How terrified would any of us be if we looked over and saw the guy in the seat next to us had a firearm? Keep her where she is, at Male, working to develop her artistic abilities and moving toward her goal of attending an institution of higher education. To punish her in this situation is terribly wrong. She was not in possession of this gun, she did not bring it into this bus.

Phoenix was in a situation no young person should ever be put in & had the courage to act in a way that most adults do not.. that school should be thanking her and hoping they get more kids just like her

The removal from her home school is unfair. She made a instinctual decision based on the reality that she faces daily as a student. I support her decision, I would hope that anyone in her situation would do the same which is to take the gun away if possible. I Stand with Phoenix

The policy is insane. You don't punish anyone for trying to protect people! Are you out of your minds!?
