Clear your name or confront the need to change the culture of this sport at PSU. Both are possible through an independent review

As a PSU Grad, lifetime Alumni member and father of a former Auburn gymnast who spent two very emotionally distressing years under the Thompsons, I can vouch for the validity of the accusations made against them. Auburn definitely made the right decision to not renew their contract and to send the them on their way and I strongly encourage PSU to do the same. The Auburn gymnastics program made an immediate turnaround in both the coaching philosophy and success of the program under the new coaching staff and PSU can do the same. Please send them on their way, protect the PSU gymnasts from the abuse and make us PSU proud again.

Every collegiate athlete deserves to have a rewarding collegiate experience, this program needs to be investigated to ensure that the gymnasts are getting what they deserve out of a university. Former Illinois gymnast: 2012-2016

I thought that PSU leadership had committed to TRANSPARENCY?? If they don't understand why, then Barron and Balfor need to leave!

The allegations against these coaches cannot be ignored. Penn State University has shown itself to be incapable of protecting it's own student body and something needs to be done about it.

These girls deserve a fair, honest, & thorough investigation into the coaching staff. I think the evidence of how many girls & coaches have left in the past several years is indication enough that something is wrong!!

This story is truly disturbing, especially in light of the history of the PSU athletic department. How they are getting away with ignoring and even sabotaging their athletes by reporting their complaints back to the coach is absolutely appalling.

The saddest (and most amusing) part of this whole thing is that the Penn State athletic department claims they conducted exit interviews with the graduating senior class... when there were none to interview! They all quit the team! If that doesn't speak volumes, Penn State is blind and/or truly doesn't care about their student-athletes.

It is time to finally end all the coverups at Penn State University. Sandy Barbour has a very bad past handling matters and these allegations only show we need an independent investigation. Our Female Student Athletes Deserve This and not continued abuse.
