It’s shameful for a company and it’s founders to speak about charity and showcase to the world what philanthropy they do, and now when the need of the hour for them to step up and show the world that they really mean it - they are shrewdly and cunningly hiding behind KHDA and saying we will use our discretion to offer support. And oh by the way we don’t trust you so we will call your company to validate the same. It’s ok for you guys not to drive your bentleys and fly in your jets for a year, but really help people who will your coffers.

The fees should be resduced by 50% at the very least. The distance learning is far from worth what you are expecting parents to pay when many have to take time off work in order to stay home. Third term fees are for a fully functional school not distance learning.

We paid GEMS Schools almost 800,000 aed over the years, and they wouldn’t give us a 6% discount which is less than 1% of the fees we’ve paid so far!!

Fee reduction by at least 25% across GEMS school is fair! Reduction is for no access to school facilities, no use of library, music equipments, school field, school pool, missing curriculum like IB’s PYPX etc. Plus as parents we have to work with our children to complete school tasks - Very unfair to ask for full fee!

I totally agree with this. We want reduction for our kids are not able to enjoy all those facilities which we paid for. Online learning is the least school can do and it is doing. Hence we definitely want a fee reduction.

We pay for fully functional school, operational facilities, face to face coaching and after school activity. The school pays teachers in full which is fine but all other operational cost have gone down. Testing parents on means is so undignified.
