100 per cent agree. As a freelancer I am not able to supply business bank accounts/ audited accounts so I am unable to prove the fact that my income has dried up to zero. Everyone is suffering right now and all other schools have offered a discount without strings attached - if GEMS doesn’t step up I will be forced to withdraw my 3 kids from JPS and JC - a shame as we have been customers for 11 years.

Gems management should remember that this Covid 19 issue shall pass and we will return to normalcy when parents will be free to withdraw their wards and enroll them in other schools. We shall remember schools that stood with parents in the trying times and those that were utterly selfish and unwilling to help their communities A word is good enough for the wise

Each one of us is financially effected by this Pandemic, either immediately or in days to come. Why there should be a need for parents to explain their situation to schools? E-learning is nowhere close to actual classroom and school fees demanded for this mode of education delivery (which is 50% productive) is totally outrageous. All big educational institutions across UAE has accepted this reality and reduced theIr profit margin for this year in terms of school fees reduction (I say reduced profit since even after fee reduction schools will continue making exhorbitant returns). GEMS should be sensitive to parents demand as this will go a long way in building trust in the institution.

Requesting for a discount in the current terms fee without providing proof, it should be a uniform discount irrespective of the earnings.

We paid 100% and it’s astonishing they ask for charity when many of the staff on unpaid leave. We claim for reduction of a next year payment

GEMS recent PR stunt does little to assist the community of parents that have supported GEMS profits over the last decade - at a time where people are still working full time on reduced salaries, while home school supervising utilising their home facilities, it smacks of downright disregard that the board of GEMS feels it relevant to still profiteer - this will create repetitional damage which will cost GEMS far more than any across the board fee reduction. I know that I am one of many who will seek to educate my children in other schools if this is not handled quickly and appropriately. GEMS promotes is it a forward thinking institution, yet is lagging far behind others in this matter. Please take this matter seriously, and if fees are reduced then you can be applauded, if they are not then shame on you.

Other school groups in UAE are considering the current pandemic situation and reducing the fee structure for parents. Even we expect the same from Gems group, as remote learning is not the same as kids going to school everyday. Appreciate if Gems group can consider this request and give a discounted fee structure

Agree on the E-distance platform and value for money. Our kids have the right to a quality education, especially when the fees are some of the highest globally.
